Its not alway fun being a newbie on forums, can be a bit daunting. Everyones really friendly here, all trying to keep the fun in Cheonia keeping.

Oh well, people can be a bit secretive when it comes to tortoises I suppose. Had any more thoughts on which tortoise is the one for you yet? I only keep Hermanns and Horsfields so feel a bit out of place here in the non med section

Well, im getting some one to check out that shop for me to see what they know and what they have said about how to care for them. so hopefully she can tell me weather its okay to buy from there... i was planning on going to a PROPER reptile shop. if i cant get one from there ill probely wait till i have the money and find a dealer close to me on one of the forums..

To be honest it would probably be cheaper to buy from a breeder than a pet shop. Not only will it be cheaper, you will know they are in the best health, you'll have support and advice from the breeder and you'll be able to see the adults, seeing what size they get to and what setups they are kept in. You'd probably be able to find a breeder of med and redfoot torts if you have a look on both forums

Also when you decide which tort is right for you and you contact a breeder I'm sure they would help you out on any setup queries that you might have

Have you decide which species you might get?
