Default Wont eat other weeds!

Hi all, its been a while...and i have a new queery..possible problem...you Pipin has got into a habit of only eating dandilions, my lawn sprung up a load and so the last week or so his diet has consisted of mainly dandilions and a bit of clover, milk thistle and the odd flower, now when ever i try him on something other than dandilions he eats a mouthfull and then turns his nose up, also he is increasingly only eating the flowers and not much else, im worried he is loosing weight and dont know how to get him to eat anything else....i heard also that this is a prob if you feed them fruit ie they wont eat much else...how do you retrain them to like other mixed weeds????
Cheers all.

I would say not to feed the Dandis for a while. He might be a little stubborn and refuse to eat, but after a while he should eat the other weeds. Torts won't starve. , he'll probably make you feel guilty though, they are good at that

If you dont feed him anything, he will eat whats available. If you keep feeding dandies he will
become a picky eater<g>.
No healthy tortoise will starve.

The other way to try is to feed the dandies and mix in other weeds, then gradually reduce the
dandies. You have to get crafty<g>.
