will this work?
I'm thinking of buying a nintendo dsi when I'm in Florida next month, but with the voltage difference I know I have to get something to break down the voltage when i plug it in at home, I found this do you think it will work?

The input voltage on the US and UK DS lite will probably be the same (5.2V I think).
So you can either do the step down converter and use the included US power supply or you could buy a Uk charger http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/1027...Supply+Charger

Id be very careful.....
Because..... Think about when you want to buy new games here in the uk. They probably wont work as your ds wont be playable for PAL games. American games are made by some other company. Bit like buying a dvd in america it wont play here unless you have a multi regional dvd player because were region 2 PAL over here and they're region 1 over there. Surely it isnt that much expensive. There's DS's on ebay for about £60 to buy. My brother just sold his to get the newer DS called a DSI thats coming out in april. Im sure others will be selling their old ones to get the new ones too. Id keep looking over here. but up to you

By the time you've bought a new power supply, and with the problem with games compatability personally I wouldn't bother.
With the pound being so weak at the moment there is nothing to be saved from buying in the US. |

last check... still 1.6 to 1
To the OP... a converter might not be necessary. Most computer transformers work up to 240v. When in the UK... all my puters work... except for the plugs...

ds games don't have a region because they are a cartridge not a disc, i was told that by one of the blokes that worked in one of the game stores out there so i bought a few games for my ds original and they work perfect thats why i want to get one out there and save myself some money, just need a cheap transformer to make it worth while, plus best buy the store i go in its warrenty is world wide
