I didn't, my female tortoise did. (It feels wrong to take all the credit, when the tortoise did all the hard work. I only removed the eggs and placed them into incubator, whereas she went through all the business with finding the best spot, pushing them out and covering them with soil. Not to mention not so gentle mating business!)

These will be the little brothers and sisters of the one that didn't make it.
Well done Hanako. I know you don't want to take any credit but it really isn't the easiest thing in the world for the keeper to let the tortoise do! They look lovely. Nice to think that more of these tortoises will be out there.

Sorry, but not happy to share that information. The size of my tortoise family is nobody's business. I haven't seen you posting here how many tortoises you have...

I do have a lot of respect for your opinion, I am sure you know a lot about tortoises, but (like anyone else) you are not ALWAYS right. So while I do listen, I won't always do what you suggest. By the way, those two babies that you were making me feel guilty for trying to save, they survived and are eating. Both of them. No permanent damage it seems. So I am really glad I didn't listen to you on that occasion. (And no, those are not for sale. I am keeping them because they are survivors).
