Default Horsfield Tortoises

http://wildtortoise.weebly.com/horsfields.html
The attached link shows very graphically why the Pet trade in Europe and hobbyists who keep tortoises should be concerned for the ethics and sustainability of trade in Horsfield Tortoises!

That is very interesting.

Shows why you should only buy ones you know are captive bred!

This will be an interesting topic for discussion at the Tortoise welfare conference at Colchester Zoo at the weekend?

Extremely informative. I wonder when an import ban will come in on them?
Also shows they are not the best tortoise to keep with the long inactive period. Seems most owners are over feeding them!
