Thanks Danny That's a great news.
Having double checked egg #1 again, I found the "ring of life" as well on the other side of the egg! The "embryo" (if i got it right) is getting bigger (photos attached). Actually i Have got 2 eggs from the 2nd clutch 37 days after the first. Both eggs chalked up nicely. Hopefully they will progress smoothly. Questions : How many clutches usually star tortoise produces? And what is the time gap in between clutches? Thanks !!! |

Everything is looking good Yes the bits your pointing out are the embryos. I would think 3 or 4 clutches for a well conditioned female would be about right. It can be as little as 20 days and as much as 45 days between clutches. Excellent pictures by the way

Thanks Danny.
Just to update the eggs development. It's the 70th day. The embryos seem to have developed into rounded shape babies for both egg #1 and #3 if i am not wrong. Thanks again. |

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! and many Thanks to all of you.
That's right, i am very happy and excited. While monitoring the development and waiting for the hatch day, i feel like they are mine, i am the one pregnant and expecting. I'll continue to post the photo records of the eggs development. |
