Unhappy Stolen Tortoise SE London

My mum's tortoise was stolen last night from her hut in the back garden.
We believe she is a Meditteranean Spur Thighed but not sure.
She is approximately 60 years old, and has a crack in the underside of her shell.

Any information leading to safe return is greatly appreciated.
Also, any ideas of possible ways to locate her are also appreciated.

that's awful. You need to go viral too. I don't do social media twitter but bit more detail perhaps someone can start 'posting'? Don't give up hope. CB

I loathe hearing of any tort being taken. Good idea by CB to go viral and hit social media with it. You never know, someone honest may know of or recognise the area and hear of a tortoise for sale or one that's appeared suddenly. As Gordon says, keep a close eye on the usual sale sites too. Anything is worth trying. Good luck. I really hope your mum gets her back soon.

Default Thanks everyone

Thanks everyone!
Fifi, the tortoise in question, is all over facebook, myself and my sister have posted in every local facebook page, selling site, veterinary pages and pet shops!
My mum has put flyers up all over the local area.
We have contacted John Hayward to have her added to the National Theft register for Exotics.
Is there anything else anyone can think of that we haven't already done?

A good person to contact would be John Hayward of the National Theft Register at jh@ntr.supanet.com. Mary
