Horsfields in vivs.
Right, i know a lot of people dont like torts being kept in vivs but if me and mum get one its prob gonna have to be a viv. Can horsfields successfully be kept in a viv?

Hermanns are nice ones. A great starter tort, and doesn't get too big.
They are all lovely in their own ways - all the species. Some a little easier to keep than others maybe xx |

I have a young med spur thighed who is lovely. I've had him for 2 months and he's already so friendly. They do get a bit bigger then Horsfields but not hugely and they don't really dig.

Everyone has different views on keeping tortoises in vivs but any tortoise can be kept in one. The question is whether it's the best thing for them. I keep mine in a viv but have the doors off to help with air circulation and as soon as I have space for a table I will be moving him.
