a room with a view
here I am up in Lincolnshire, staying with my mum. this is the view from my bedroom window this morning. not too bad, we have an abundance of wild life, the farmer has left a wild margin round the field, so there is an abundance of butterflies, and bumble bees, big and small. there are lovely big hares in the field and bunnys, buzzards and kestrels. voles, shrews and field mice too.

Very nice suze the one thing i will say is be careful picking weeds as when they spray pesticides etc on the fields you do get a lot of drift i stop picking for a couple of weeks when they spray round me just to be on the safe side

Very pretty Suze, a lot like where I live. The farmers don't leave the margin out of the kindness of their hearts, it's law, they are not allowed to come within a meter of residential property. I always stay inside and get all the animals in while they spray though.
What's growing? We've got potatoes in our field this year, last year was wheat.

Ah, the flat landscape of Lincolnshire with farmland as far as the eye can see (and yes, lots of pesticides). I live in south Lincs Suze, it's supposed to be a scorcher here today, but then I think it might be everywhere.
