Hi Gordon i first started with a hoverbator and had around 90% hatch rate, i then changed to a herp 2 for the cooling as well as heating but my hatch rate over 12 months dropped to virtually nothing.
I was loosing loads to dead in shell as if theyd dried out despite reading on two gauges of around 80% humidity.

so I changed back to the Hoverbator and im now getting around 70% hatch rate, but 1 of the females is new to laying and shes the one giving the clear eggs thats dropping the hatch rate down.

got 9 eggs in the incubator now and 6 look fertile.

not sure why the rate dropped when using the herp 2 but that was the only thing that changed over the seasons.

Lovely, interesting how your hatching rate dropped so much with the herp.
