Talking naughty tortoise!

i was moving a few things around in harrys tort table the other day,and he has a little log house you can bend it to make it bigger or small ect he likes to walk thru it to get to his food dish, any way i moved it and i turn'd my back for 2 mins to put clean water in for him as he is a little piglet and keeps putting his top soil in it! when i went to put his water dish back he was stood up on his two back legs with his arms in the air trying to climb on top of his log house/bridge he knew it was closer to the willow mini edging i use half way round for deco and it gives me more piece of mind that he would'nt get out even tho he cant get out but you know what i mean! he used that to climb on to the log house that i moved out of the way while i was re filling his dish ect he put his legs and head in his shell when he seen me come back naughty boy! just goes to show how naughty and bright they are!

BTW, if you put the water dish on a tile it helps avoid getting soil trailed into it

Good tip, I hadn't thought of that. Occasionally mine is more of a mud bath that a water dish

I have the food and water dishes on a 12" square slate floor tile. The water dish hardly ever has soil in it unless a tort has gone in/out/in again but the food from the food dish somehow manges to escape to all corners of the enclosure
