As Suze says they need a temperature gradient (they are just mini versions of adult torts
The humid area should be in the warm area as you are aiming for warm and humid never cool and humid. You would be surprised at the area even little fella can cover!

I cant remember if you have plants/sightbreakers Eddie? I find them useful as it encourages them to explore.

Are you spraying the other eggs Eddie? (I wouldnt open them, there can be quite a differance in development time)

I haven't been spraying them at all... Is this something I should have been doing since day 1 or just near the end?

I'll start doing this today. Thanks

You can use slate or a tile under the heat, but they have to be really thick ones. Where the heat spreads acrosss them, and dont get red hot.
I used inch thick slate for all of my hatchlings with no problems. Touching the slate or tile yourself easily tells you whether its too hot or not:0)
