Thanks for the replies everyone. I will keep going with Oscar, i was just worried that he needed something i wasn't able to give him. His new strip light will be fitted when it arrives and his basking lamp adjusted because i will be able to safely fix it to the new bracket being put in for the strip light. I will try get a digital thermometer as well

I'm going to continue to bath Oscar everyday and still offer him fresh weeds everyday Like i have been doing for the past 3 months. I'm not oging to take him outside yet, as i think it could potentially do more harm then good, stress wise, while he is trying to adjust to his surroundings already. When he gets better, i will though.

He's currently been dug down for 2 days. I have been bathing him everyday for the past few weeks but it wasn't working like last time so i thought i would leave him to do as he wished because i thought if sleep is what he wants, then maybe thats what it will take to regulate himself but i've been advised to bath him everyday like i was doing before, so i will.

think oscar might benefit from some "critical care" to replenish the good bacteria that may have been removed by the

worming and oral baytryl ? especially as he is eating very little***

I would say not unless he is not eating at all. As he clearly will eat I would say this is not the problem. To replenish the good bacteria Avipro may be a better bet, or a combination of the two.

No problem Linda - it needs to be used with caution the same as CCF as an overdose would not be good for internal organs. I tend to make it up at the recommended strength and for hatchlings make a bath of it so the tort can drink as much as it needs.

kay i am not experienced enough to say yes or no with regards the probiotics

but i feel they may help considering what your tort has gone through and also the fact it isnt eating much

im sure some one else will advise

Ok Linda, thank you I hope if he does have it, i can bathe him in it because, i can't put him through being orally given medication againas i think this is half the reason he is the way he is at the moment. It made him limpand lifeless last time.

Also, if the answer is yes about giving him Avipro, where do i get it?

I will see how the extra lighting and bathing goes and use the Avipro as a last resort, like we talked about Do i bath him in it though, if i get it?
