Cookie is doing it again, only been awake for fifteen minutes, and I have to go to work now. Is it anything I have to worry about?

I'm sure Cookie's fine, Caroline, just keep an eye on him for any other signs of strange behaviour

Hi,
I think I have seen my Tetley do this to a while back.

Is like he is doing breast stroke with his legs almost frog like??????

If it like I said Tetley has done this. He does if he has a poo still attached by to him and he uses hsi feet to move things a long. But he has also done this wierd frog leg thing when there has been nothing there.

It's prbably no help but if it is the same thing then your tort is not alone!

That's how I described it to my sister, Rowan.

Cookie is doing it again, so I've put loads more soil in his tub, so he can dig down. I'm wondering if it's best to leave him alone?

Hi Caroline,
I really really am no expert as only had torts for over a year. I wondered with tetley whether it was trapped wind or something irritating his tail like with poo! So I just upped his baths and hoped it seemd to help.
Just wanted to reassure you that I'd seen the same thing it's very odd to see.
Good luck and hope Cookie is OK,

Rowan

Thanks Rowan

I'm not sure, Caledonia, he's doing it again as I type. If it's normal, I won't worry, but if it's something that might be distressing Cookie (he doesn't look it though) then I want to be prepared to do what I can. It's been going on for two or three days now. I supposed I'm concerned that there's something inside that needs to come out. I'd wondered if he was constipated, but there was a smallish pooh waiting for me last night.

When mine had a stone it was doing some strange things but the head would always go in when trying to pass it.
Are you sure it's no a female? maybe you should post a new clear pic of the underside

Danny ID'd Cookie for me a few weeks back as male with a short tail, cos I put a thread up about something else. I'd been told by the (cough) "breeder" I got him from that he was female, then a vet said the same thing, hence the confusion, and me keep saying "she"

I'm chargin up my batteries just now, to post what Cookie is doing. There are pictures on my profile, or somewhere, of Cookie's underside, can you see them there?

There's an album called "Cookie's Bum"
