well i took them to the vet cant have a PM done as i didnt put the tortoise in the fridge but i said it could have died saturday night and i found it sunday morning, which would probably been no good for PM report, anywhere the other 2 tortoises are find right weight and length,and she said not to hibernate this year, she recommend not doing till they where 5 yrs old.

both of the torts they will be able to get to the bottem of this

Hi Viv - the vets info re postmortem is correct up to a point but I would ingore the advice not hibernate until 5 years old this is rubbish. Leave it for this year but do get faecal tests done followed by appropriate de-worming. Try looking for an exotics specialist who will give you correct info re your torts health.

Oh - then I am wondering why she suggests non hibernation before 5 years of age. Did she do a faecal exam - I would stress teh need for this in viewof waht has happened. Also are they in a viv? Sorry if this has already been answered
