John,
in the advert in the latest issue of PRK you have a very nice picture of a hatchling Golden thread turtle from China, with the caption: "light for life".
Is this going to be a series of adverts that Arcadia are running?
to see Terrapins, especially the young healthy and well lit is a good message.
I would very much like to see better retail set ups advocating the necessary requirements for this often neglected group of reptiles.

I just picked up my copy and its the same question i asked John a while back, he said he will put my question in the magazine, great info.

I use the Arcadia tubes in all my tanks, and you do notice the difference when i have bought older turtles which has had no uv light. there shells start changing after a few weeks, just shows how correct lighting is important for all reptiles.

Indeed, modern environmental lighting coupled with a good diet makes a huge difference to the colours exhibited in some of our captive turtles!

Happy to send this picture, providing it is used for educational purposes only.
However, I hope that you link this forum to your new website as this represents a very valuable educational resource as there are many forum members actively contributing to a better understanding of Chelonia husbandry?

Hi,

The new site has a whole section devoted to live links, especially those that Arcadia participate in.

No worries there.

I was thinking of using the image in the gallery.
