Have you a compost heap, Pammy? Sometimes they like to hide under them, i think the leaves and stuff mulching gives off a little heat.
I really hope you find him, but if he doesn't show now, there is always a chance he has found somewhere to hibernate himself. There were several cases in the Spring when lost torts turned up when the weather grew warmer.
Fingers crossed for you x

Pammy ,I hope you find him this weekend he might be protected a littel from the weather under the decking . Just look for newly dug earth first ,if no luck then try a finger tip search for softer earth you never know he might not be too far down good luck I,ll be thinking of you.

Default Tortoise thief sentenced

http://www.thisiswesternmorningnews....l/article.html
Is everyone aware of this an getting a non custodial sentence for all the anguish and heartache he cause to Joy Blooy (and Zeus at al) at The Tortoise Garden? This was a premiditated theft, surely, yet the offender has yet to tell police what happened to all the other stolen torts. Well done to the police, the Daily Mail for the publiciity and Helen King who recognised that she had bought a bought a stolen tort, but not a lot to the Magistrates who gave the wrong message to any would be burglar that causing this sort of grief to the owner and distress to animal did not warrant a prison term. I have seen Zeus since his return - nice to see him back among those who care for him....
