Those tortoises look great! And one hardly ever see horsefields with aberrant scutes (my favorite kind!).

Gosh those are good looking tortoises. I especially like the one with aberrant scutes - my favorite kind!

(How strange. The site's program tells me that my message is too short to post and I need to lengthen it. Never got that message before!)

Stupid me. . . if I had read the whole thread I would have seen that I've already posted in this thread. Oh well. That just shows that I really like these tortoises!!!

Clare, they’re stunning! Remind me of their names again...they’re not Meg and Harry are they as they were already hatched. Are these the eggs you incubated from G?
I agree with Gordon, their growth is exceptional- what smooth shells.

thanks Yvonne, always a pleasure to hear again, Lynne, too. Gordon - I never know if you are taking the mickey ! good breeding though that's why ! they don't like being indoors, typical Horsfields scaramongering around like lunatics.
Emma, they don't really have set names yet, nothing has come to mind from the plant fauna world, so I just refer to them as the little ruskies, or first born. Ruskie 1 has the abnormal scute and was first born.

If I thought they looked bad I would tell you and I think what ever you do is in need of no changes. Good husbandry needs praising.
