Is it worth buying for hermanns?
Mine are in tortoise table, warm end is about 35C cooler end lowers twenties. I water my soil everyday so its moist however I dont have anything to measure humidty with. Theres some in local shop for £4.99 a bag you see, so wondering about getting some.... Thanks |

It can be a good thing to use if building a humid hide for an indoor enclosure, as it does hold moisture very well..so long as its strategically placed - so that the tort does not get tempted to nibble. So yes it can be a good thing to invest in. But make sure he doesnt try and eat it....(not that he will but it still is a small risk, and knowing how inquisitive torts can be at times) xx

Make sure you change the moss regualy, known for a while that spagnum moss can be dodgy if left to start decay.
