Hello again
Hi all, I am Abby and live in the south east. I joined the forum about 5 years ago whilst researching about getting a tortoise. At that time, after doing as much research as I could, I decided that the time wasn't right to be getting a tortoise. Well I am now pleased to say that the time is right now and I am hopefully getting a tortoise in the spring. I have been offered a 6 year old from a keeper at a local zoo. She is hibernating them at the moment but once it is awake and eating well she is going to let me have him. She used to be a breeder and has decided that as it is getting increasingly hard to sell them, she is no longer going to breed. She knows me quite well as my son is a keen animal lover and has done lots of their events and we are members there.
We are lucky that our garden is about to be landscaped so now seems the perfect time to incorporate an outdoor area and an indoor area, a shed, into the garden. So it looks like I am here to stay this time. |

Welcome back and good luck with your tortoise. What breed are you going to be having?
