no one can say for definate what causes pyramiding even wild torts can have it.
dont keep reds but i believe they need high humidity . i feed my stars a bit of everything each day, more weeds especially at this time of the year. i believe they also like mushrooms but not 100% sure. red kepers will be along soon so they should have more advise. |

How much do you feed your reds? I feed 3 times a week only which helps keep them nice and smooth.
I would advise adding plenty of calcium and nutrobal as well which I am sure you do. How old are your reds?

Not seen a wild tort in the wild with pyramiding it it caused by too much food, too much protein and too little calcium.

I'd cut that to 3 times a week and you should solve the problem. I note you have not mentioned any meat whcih is perfect they do not need this. If you had been feeding meat this could have been the cause.
