I'm sure I remember bob martin doing a flea pill for cats at one point, it came in a pink box and was a bit like the worming tablets but was for fleas.

4fleas do a tablet but you have to give it every 24 hours, and kills fleas within 30 minutes, and i do think bob martians do a flea tablet, but yet again i think for it to work 100% its everyday you have to use it, they are really good if you have fleas, as they kill them quickly

Give the dog garlic a couple of times a week, kills fleas & keeps them away.
I'm not in favour of putting all these things into my dog, i like the kinder approach, i give garlic to kiera twice a week, she never ever has fleas. No, she hasn't got garlic breath either!! Marg. |

garlic is a good repellent, bob martin has been known to cause fits in cats and is only a repelent anyway (a rubbish one at that), frontline does come in injection, spray, tablet and vial form although it no longer works at all anyway, any flea/tick treatment available over the counter is crap and dosnt completely solve any flea problem you might have, hence why its now sold over the counter.... even vets dont sell it anymore, fleas are becoming more resiliant (just like head lice are) and the only thing that works at the moment is stronghold or advocate, (and a good hoover) both are the same/similar price as frontline but only available from your vet, i have had over 100 cats and kittens through my door in the last 12 months, some ferals, so i do consider myself to have a little insight on flea treatments and what currently works

To the users of Frontline, you might have noticed a lack in effectiveness. Try switching to a different formula, the brand "4fleas" has a different method of working which can help as the fleas have become resistant to the frontline formula which has been used for decades.
There are also herbal tablets which help with parasites in the dogs digestive system, these can usually be picked up at most good pet shops and offer a chemical free alternative and are great for worming and the generation of new fleas, for the larvae its best to use the tablets, a drop on the skin for the larvae and a spray for your house. |

I use a product called dynamite that is a repelent for most insects-you dilute with water and spray onto the animal-also great when camping etc as it acts as a midge repelent on us too.
