and use limestone flour and Nutrobol mixed together 7 to 1 in shaker pot I am a bit concerned about this as limestone alone does not give the correct balance of minerals that your tort needs. If miced n this ratio it is like only giving nutrobal once a week which is not enough, especially if a youngster and indoors for any length of time. |

A ratio is just the same whatever you use to measure it, spoon, cup or jug <vbg>, but do be careful with such a mix as it is not enough minerals for a growing tort

TNT
I use TNT, and my tort loves it. It's from Carolina Pet Supply in the States and when I asked Andy Highfield about it, he said t couldn't do any harm and might well do some good. I just use it separately from my limestone flour/nutrobal mix, and just dust it once or twice a week on my tort's food. Here's a link to the list of ingredients:

Twice weekly supplementation is still not enough for hatchlings/growing torts

Yam yam, to clarify, its 7 parts limestone flour to 2 parts nutrabol mixed together and added to food daily, like i think you are already doing.

I think we all have our wires crossed here<g> If supplements are given daily then they are given straight which is 7/7 or 100% If we give diluted supplements say 7/2 then we are giving the equivalent of 2 days feeding out of 7. 2 parts nutrobal to 7 parts limestone is approximately a 28% dilution which to me is not enough. Unless of course you give it 3 times daily. Limestone of course can be given freely but to replace some of the nutrobal with it is not right somehow.
