Default Best day of my life with a little help form the aldabras

My partner took my for a surprise anniversary one on one encounter with the aldabras at the cotwolds yesterday.... then this happened. Best day ever x

I bet secretly you would of loved the tortoise instead of the ring.
I get to see them quite often as it's only just up the road from me.

Should the shell be smooth?

The one in the picture is a rescue someone had as a pet illegally imported fed on the wrong diet and also has a stump for a front leg on one side. But was lovely to see him happy n roaming

Lets just say the picture of the one with really a really bumpy shell is bad.It looks like it did not have the correct diet/UV as it should have done. Probably an ex pet that got too big.
Is the one still there that has a heat damages shell?
The tortoise in the back ground has the sort of shell they should have.
