Default Female Horsefield needs home

Female Horsefield full setup

Hi there, we have Horsefield tort, she is about 7 years old or so we think. We bought her off someone who was selling her and she was in viv, so we got her a wooden open top table etc. Whilst we have done our best by her, we feel she would be better of with an experienced owner. We have done our best, changed her to an appropriate diet etc. although we were unable to hibernate her this year as she lost two much weight on her wind down, but she is now back to a healthy weight.

She has a lovely table, heat/uv lamp accessories etc. She needs to go to the right home as I'd rather see her in a good home than worry about money. We are in the east of Scotland(tayside)...if you can help that would be great!!!

Hi, you already have an ad in the for sale section so is this a different tortoise? .. or are you selling the tortoise or rehoming it? If you are selling it it can't go in the rehoming section

Hi I am trying to rehome her ASAP so thought this would get a better response. I'd rather she went to the right home than sell her like I said in the for sale add. Sorry I never realised I couldn't advertise in both.

If you're selling it it should be in the for sale but rehoming is for giving it away to a new home so are you selling it or giving it away to a new home?

Well I'd certainly give her away to the right home, yes. We would much rather she found a good home, so not selling.

Seems to me you are doing a very good job with your tort why don't you give it a bit longer we are all always learning how to look after these torts. She is now up to weight and it won't harm for her not to have had a hibernation, last year I did not hibernate any of my Horsefields as they were too light. Think on it there is alwAys plenty of advice available.

Hi thanks for the replies....Sam I have pm you back, but you are too far I am affraid.

I don't think its that we are doing a bad job, but she deserves a better life. The kids are very young and take up most of my time etc. don't get me wrong, we keep her fed, accommodated, if she is sick she gets would get to the vets and bills all covered etc, but she should be more loved and wanted overall, hence wanting to rehome her.

Would it be possible to post a couple of photos of her mainly to confirm her sex as mixing males is a real no no.
