Default Prolome has an itchy or sore leg

He keeps bothering about his front right leg, right in up near his neck, he keeps pulling his leg in and rubbing his leg against his neck, and now it's looking a bit sore in places, nor sure what could be causing it, or what to do about it. Any ideas please.

A picture might well help us to help you and your tortoise.
If in doubt then get your tortoise to a tortoise vet, better to be safe than sorry:0)

I can see one little red lump , a bit like a bite, so I'm wondering if it's a bite. I will try and get a picture. Thanks

I took him to the vet today, having kept a close eye for a few days, he seems to have 3 red spots that look like they could be insect bites, his eye is fine, his ear looks fine , inside his mouth is fine and his nose looks fine. So the vet has decided at the moment to treat the spots as possibly insect bites or fungal infection , but she is sure it's topical and local. So I've got some fungal / disinfectant solution, to clean the area with for a few days, and see if that helps. If not she will take some swabs from the area to get a better idea of what it is. But is eating well and pooing well, all good signs 😁

Aww, poor chappy. I hope the solution does the trick and clears it all up.

Oh suze I missed this post somehow, poor Ptolome hope he is ok, a couple of my torts have move their front leg in and around like they got a bit of cramp or something stuck in their shell for a few seconds, but seem fine afterwards so I've not taken them to a vet.

Hope he is ok xxx

I've been cleaning the area with the solution , and today he seems less bothered by it, although none of them are doing much, cos it's so gloomy here. It's certainly no worse, and the fact that there are 3 little bite like spots in a cluster, makes me think that they are insect bites. So I think he is fine , thanks.

Although is is very naughty when Tabitha is any where near by, and gets quite aggressive, when he's away from her, he's like a soppy Labrador , he's very gentle, likes a tickle, follows me around like a dog, so I'm very fond of him.
