That was really helpful info! Better even than some care sheet you find on the net

As my torties are in hibernation I can't turn them over and check them thoroughly right now. Egyptian Dan said, from the photo i posted in 'pictures' that he thought mine were Testudo G T, but I bought them (and have a certificate from the breeder which labels them) as Testudo GG, from TGG parentage. I'm sure I could work this out using this thread, if they were awake - and then I could either determine if the breeder was incorrect originally or not ? I might need the help o you guys though, by posting pictures of the torties from different angles LOL.

Ahhhha, just found a better picture of them.....

So, is the general consensus that they are TGI ? and not TGG ?

They are almost certainly T.g.ibera. They are very similar to two of my females:

Aha, yes I saw a picture of your two the other day on the site and it was their picture that really convinced me that mine looked VERY similar ! I just can't believe that we have been believeing they were TGG all this time, based on the breeder - hence my still wittering on about identification.

Great Idea putting it up! I've never noticed the obvious differences until now!
Thanks
