Question Question about Pre Alpine Testudo Herbs

Hi, I just have a quick question, I'm planning to order Pre Alpine Testudo Herbs to try with my 2 tortoises on the description it says "offer an ideal calcium/phosphorus ratio".

My question is would I still use Nutrobal when feeding them Pre Alpine Testudo Herbs?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi,
pre alpin is classed as "an incomplete food" ie: no supplements added. So yes, you would add your own as you would with weeds and flowers.

Pre Alpin doesn't contain a vit D supplement because it's just dried plants. To my mind the main point of neutrobal is the vit D supplement since there are much better ways of offering calcium than in neutrobal. So I think neutrobal should be used if you think your tort isn't getting enough uv. Otherwise, don't use it.
