Default a new thread of pickies

to come ......not much going on in photoland so will try and take some of the torts hiding from the torrential rain and winds whipping the South. What blooming awful weather , anyone to upload ! lets do a medly...

Pythagoras and Darwin out and about. They are absolutely mad for mallow flowers at the moment.

Is that purple flowered plant called Mallow? The mallow that grows here in the states isn't nearly that pretty. Well, the tortoise ain't bad either!

I think it may be a cultivated variety Yvonne. Called Zinia. I grew some a few years, ago & they grew massive 6 foot tall with leaves ten inches across & the beautiful bright flowers too.

lovely pickies...sorry got side tracked and now its stinking hot weather , over 52 degrees in greenhouse, pickies below !



one for G, the girls haven't been eating together too hot I suspect




Monet and Miguel (two of the tiny trio are now huge )




way hot over BH ...



Margies usually come out later in evening



lawn mowing



one of the baby Horsfields with his mate in a pen outdoors



others are burrowed down for today




I try and use two water bowls but using terracotta in hot weather means they dry out quicker
