Weedy enclosure
Inspired by Jerry and his owner I have painted up an old cat house I got from the auto jumble sale ! £10, and has open roof which I have cut some Perspex to fit over it when open. Fixed old perspexy things on the fence so heats up and keeps out the wind. the planting needs revisiting, weeds come up through the shingle, but I will gain ideas from other posts too, a few little shells and cuttle fish from the beach free. A couple of old gravel boards I have just painted kept in place by old plant pots ! And here will live little Woodward ! when he is out of sick bay with Elenor, tiny rescue spur thigh.
I know not the best and can do with some improvements ! but very cheap pen to make and I have a hand made wooden trellis to go over top, (just cause I like hand made rather than shop bought !) to keep out nasty's, but also easily made into a complete greenhouse effect if place Perspex over the aisle and is angled that the rain falls off.

It looks so good already! Woodward won't know himself once he's out there.
My new enclosures are looking a bit bare because they're newly planted. I can't wait until next summer when the weed seeds should have germinated and become the usual sowthistle/plantain forest they're used to. Yours is so vibrant with colour. Brilliant!!

How can you say 'not the best'. I think it is fantastic. Very colourful and lots of areas to hide in.
Oh dear, more ideas I need to get on with! Next year............

Wow, what a lovely space for a tortoise to live and a human to relax in. We moved into our place under a year ago and my good lady has similar plans for our garden (she's the brains, I'm the brawn ). It looks great CB, love the house, plenty of tort edibles as well...but it has just reminded me that I forgot to get Nasturtiums this year..we had loads at the old house and Jerry loves them.

Super Claire! Spookily I painted up a lovely solid "box" I got from a car boot last year. Green and cream stripes! (I went a bit mad!). Bet they will be very happy in there!

lovely and colourful with lots of great features. I think the perspex to keep out cold winds and bring warmth is a great idea too.
