Hello

I am new here, which is why im in the section lol...I am trying to add an Avatar pic, but its not working I have tried and tried but no luck. Is it cause im new? or am I not doing something lol

it might be, i know you have to have pics approved before you have made 5 posts so avatar might be the same. even after 5 posts they need to be approved the first time then it's ok after that. the avatar pics need to be no more than 80x80 pixels i think too

you should be able to upload an avatar irrelevant of how new you are
have a practice

if it dosent work please
pm me or any adim and we will talk you through it
or do it for you

I managed to add my profile pic, but now wish to change it....But am having probs changing it I get the message "upload of file failed", Ive even tried to change/edit my profile pic, which doesnt look like theres one there, still get the same errror....Does the admin need to switch something on for me lol

is your file size within the limits because if not it won't work?

Hi, The pic I want is 2.60mb... Dimension 3264 by 1840..I'm not too hot on sizing...Can ask the hubby but he's working on his laptop and dont want to disturb him lol...I want to sort this, This is bugging me now Is the pic I want too big do you think?

just a bit I think it has to be something like 80 x 80 pixels max and a max of 20kb or something. your pic exceeds that by several thousand pixels and kilobytes

I dont understand sizes lol...kb's and MB's my hubby has tried to explain it all to me but it doesnt digest lol... I think i have done it now, files were just over 1Mb

can you upload your pic to tinypic? www.tinypic.com ,if so I could resize it for you probably if you can upload it and give me the link. all web pics should really be reduced to 72dpi because any more than that and it makes no difference to the quality, only makes a difference if printing the pic
