Male or female? Help.
I just game my 2 tortoises a bath... Went to get them out and noticed the larger one had something sticking out of her tail.... A penis possibly (?) Now i am thinking that she is a he... Do only males have genitalia that stick out or do females have it too? If so what's the difference?
I am confused and a little shocked... Also my tortoises are apperntly only 2 this year... So is this normal at this age? Thanks xx

Thanks everyone... I will keep on trying to get a photo as and when it happens again...
Of course it will create problems if she's a he as i'll either have 2 males that will fight or i'll have 1 male and 1 female so not good I knew i should have bought only 1 but my hubby insisted on 2 ... Sigh...

Might be ok. You just need to keep an eye. A temp quarantining off for one that seems to be the bother (should that happen) might settle things. But obviously if it does persist then it might require separation. Maybe just keep in mind space issues...should separation be necessary. Hope you get it sortedxx
