Default beetroot??

Hi guys, I've read alot on dietary requirements and saw that beetroot are ok for torts??
Can anyone confirm/deny this?
And also, is it just the beetroot or are the leaves ok too??

Ok thank you Stells, only really wondered as I have a vegetable plot and was debating growing these so I have a healthy supply for my tort

Protect the seedlings if you are growing them...mine just wiped out 100 beetroot seedling I had been growing for 6 weeks!!

Tort's are not very good gardener's. I'll eat some and save some for later.

They are in a separate part of the garden so hungry torts can't get close
But wanted to ask as I like to grow my own rather than feed anything from a supermarket.
