I did see a animal nutritionist on TV talking about cat and dog food recently, and he said most dog and cat food is rubbish. The tined meat is very high i n water content, stuff like bakers if full of colouring and E numbers. The best food are the dry complete, with no colouring.

I will continue using nutrazu , twice a week , with greens. Only in winter.

Just to be clear here. Mazuri exotic leaf-eater and the original primate diet are different.
The ingredients are different, although they are based on each-other.
Is this the original US mazuri, or the new formula, purely out of interest?

You should have tried the leaf eater pellet Alan, I tried both nutrazu and leaf eater, they preferred the leaf eater and it's cheaper than nutrazu to

If you ever want to try some drop me a message and I can stick a wee bit in the post for the torts to try.

I know Ben swears by it to

I've got the leaf eater ones thanks, been using them this winter and past winters
I also sometimes get the T-Rex dry formula which is the only other type they will eat readily

Generally, people don't start looking at the ingredients in their pet food. They just assume it's a well-known brand and is nutritionally balanced.
At the age of 12 I'd assume Taz would turn his nose up at a different diet. I guess if he's healthy and well, he's happy on his E numbers!
Quite. Ha ha. He used to have Arden Grange but he get fed up of it. He loves the meaty chunks in bakers. Apart from his fits that he's had since I had him he's fit and healthy xx

Mine aren't fussed on pellets either. They'll have a few nibbles and leave it x
