Had a quick search on sainsburys, and they had this
Sainsbury's Chicory 180g £0.99 If you planted this, or put it in water, would it grow like dan's. or am i being really stupid here Dave

Belgian Endive im not very good with groceries, is that similar to chicory then? any good for torts? Thought I was onto a winner as well Dave

It is in the same family as chicory, as well as curly endive and escarole. It's fine to feed to tortoises, but as it is now ( no chlorophyll ) it isn't very nutritious.
