Default 2 in 1 bulb??

hi,
i have been told that you can buy a bulb that can be used for heat (basking) and u.v. is this correct?
and if so where can i get one ... i would rather have a 2in1 than the strip light that i have at the moment.
i dont realy want to ask in the pet shop as i think you were right about him being an import!! the vet
had a good look at him though and he has been wormed and is eating for england at the moment (he
loves bindweed!!)
so if anyone can help (as you usualy do) i would be very grateful -x- mandy

HI, THANKS FOR THAT.... I HAVE JUST BEEN ON THE INTERNET AND HAVE SEEN SOME "T.REX SOLAR DROPS" I KNOW THAT THE SUN IS THE BEST FORM OF UV BUT THESE ARE BEING ADVERTISED AS A SUPPLIMENT STATING THAT THEY CAN REPLACE THE UVB LAMP ALTOGETHER!?!?!?
HAVE YOU HAD ANY REPORTS ON THESE ? AND ARE THEY SAFE? I KNOW THAT T.REX IS SUPPOSED TO BE QUITE A REPUTABLE COMPANY...... -X- MANDY

Here's is that question on the TT group and Andy's reply:

Q. Can I use ‘liquid sunshine’ D3 drops instead of spending all that money on expensive UV-B lighting systems?

A. We absolutely do not recommend products like this. They are potentially very dangerous (see answer to vitamin-A question, above). Overdoses are very possible with ‘pure’ D3 products. Avoid them.

Please see the whole subject:

By calcium powder do you mean limestone? you can sprinkle this all over there food. I put my tortoises food in a bag but limestone in and shake and it covers their food. You only need a light covering.

Same as Sarah pinch of it on their food, mine also have access to cuttle fish which they can nibble on as and when they wish (helps with their beaks too) - do you use Nutrabol daily too?

YES I DO MEAN LIMESTONE...I THINK I WILL TRY THE BAG WAY WITH A PINCH OF POWDER THANKS FOR THAT AND NO I AM NOT USING ANYTHING ELSE AT THE MOMENT .. I THOUGHT THAT WITH ALL THE WEEDS AROUND AT THE MOMENT THERE WAS NO NEED FOR OTHER SUPPLIMENTS!! WHAT EXACTLY DOES IT DO? I GET A BIT WORRIED WITH ALL OF THE SUPPLIMENTS... ARE THEY NATURAL ? THAT WAS WHY I WAS ASKING ABOUT THE T.REX THING -X- MANDY
