Default 160w Arcadia D3 UV Basking Lamp flickering

my 3 month old Arcadia uv lamp has started flickering but very fast and intermittently anyone else had this ?

No. Why not ring up the place you got it from, or Arcadia will probably replace if you still have the receipt.

It's a mercury vapour bulb romski.

Depending on what online shop you got it from there could be a record of your purchases in your account history. One of my 160w's now flickers when first switched on but it's been running continuously for almost 16 months (not at night obviously). Is it getting a good connection, ie screwed in tightly? Is the lampshade if you are using one the correct size for the 160w bulb? The MV bulbs do flicker but at a faster rate than you can notice with your eyes, you can notice it if you are looking at a camera LCD screen. It sounds like yours isn't flickering 'normally' though

Hi,

Please check your connections and that the lamp is at the right angle.

They also take a few mins to warm up and will flicker in this time as the product energises.

sounds silly but if you brought it online did you get a invoice/receipt sent to your email as well as a copy with your product that you have forgotten about

Thanks ive sorted it out the connecter inside the ceramic fitting had lost good contact with the end of the lamp giving it the 50hz buzz

I did have this problem at the very start with the first one I bought, but I also just tried taking it out and screwing it back in and it was fine
