I don't know the weight but sizewise they are about as big as a bale of straw or hay, I can only just lift one, its how petshops make their money pay about £6 per bale split them up into small bags and make a fortune, they keep forever in a dry place you'd need a good big shed or garage for 10 bales, however many torts do you have that amount would last you a life time, a 12x12ft stable only takes about 3 bales. sorry didn't see the bit about collecting, it should fit in a good car boot but you'd need help getting it out unless your very strong, we pay around £8 in our local horse feed place,

I think Surrey Pet Supplies sell it in the bedding section. £7 something a bale. Not sure how much delivery is though

Just to say that I read it wrong when I got the quote. It's actually over £15 with the delivery so not such a good deal afterall,

yea I'm only getting the one bale lol. just wondering how much a bale was think it was bout £8 for one bale, I'll be taking my boyfriend with me so he can do all the lifting I guess i'lll find out when I get there how easy it is to fit in my boot, I've got a convertible but it's a hard top convertable so the whole roof can fit in the boot so maybe a bale can or I just put the roof down squeeze it in the back seat n hope for the best
