Hmmmm...it looks like a tort much older than a 2008 hatch to me. Such a smooth shell too!
Just due to the shell pattern fading I'd have said she was much more older. I'd hate to guess exactly how old though. I may be way out but I'd have said in excess of 20 years.

I would say much older than a 2008 hatch as well, I'd say around 25 years, and the faded markings, as Emma said, might be a sign of significant age.

It is a female Testudo graeca graeca As everyone has said older than 6 years old She has not grown in a very long time and the lack of black is because of age. She is most likely between 75 and 100 years old.

Have to agree with Dan the Man she's a ripe old age certainly not a2008 hatchling !
I do love to see these old torts. I always wonder what they have been through in their many years coz they have done amazingly well to survive bless em, Hhow luck y your friend is to have her. |
