Default Age & SubSpecies please :)

I know no one cant be exact on age but this is a friends tort & it has been suggested she is a 2008 hatch, so approximate age guesses please. She is around 10 inches & a big girl (I am thinking TGG but thought they had pattern on underside of shell, maybe its faded with age?) many thanks

Hmmmm...it looks like a tort much older than a 2008 hatch to me. Such a smooth shell too!
Just due to the shell pattern fading I'd have said she was much more older. I'd hate to guess exactly how old though. I may be way out but I'd have said in excess of 20 years.

I would say much older than a 2008 hatch as well, I'd say around 25 years, and the faded markings, as Emma said, might be a sign of significant age.

I would say originally wild caught and well over 20yrs old.

And in the last few months, has been on different diet, as the growth lines around the scutes is still white. Not noticeable when grown slowly:0)

It is a female Testudo graeca graeca As everyone has said older than 6 years old She has not grown in a very long time and the lack of black is because of age. She is most likely between 75 and 100 years old.
