Its in the first pic Jo, the close up...you can see the large slitgoing from the front right to the left (upwards)...
It is hard to plan something outdoors with no one to help me. Its something that I have no control over - if circumstances changed, my own personal circumstances - then it would be something I would do straight away. I cant conjure it up if I dontknow the first thing of what to do. Cant help it that I dont do DIY andknow how to do things like that very well. Its thesituation I have now, but in due time - that hopefully will change. Nothing I can do about it ATM. I dont think there is anything wrong with showing concern for other torts, or trying to give advice... I like to think I am helpful, and like to share the things that have worked for me. xx |

Ok thank you Jo. I do appreciate what your saying but I can't focus on a situation that I can't change. If I knew the first thing - anything - about making an outdoor enclosure then I would have tried to do this during the summer. I hold my hands up with the fact that I'm not a DIY gal, and I cannot ask my dad who is in his 70's to mAke one.
I also don't have a male in the house to call on for this, so things are the way they are, at least short term anyway I didn't take you the wrong way Jo.xx I just cannot do much about this situation at the moment. Last edited by yuna1971; 13-12-2010 at 01:04 AM. |

You care deeply about your tortoise so it's ok to check things out. If Lily is eating well and has no problem breaking up her food then she is fine.
You are a very caring tort owner and care for all torts, I know I have really appreciated your support with Pepper

I couldn't see it either to be honest but is it this V shaped bit highlighted in red?
if so then I wouldn't worry about that. One of mine has a mouth that when closed still has a gap in it |

Thats his beak Al, but you sort of got it. You see that jagged bottom bit - it points outward. Also if you follow that line along (from where you finished it). But what you got there is the gap. The jagged sticking out bit (like an edged bit) is the bottom bit of the mouth...do you see where I am coming from??

not really but is that not a V shaped bit at all then and just the grey towel thing sticking up in front of the beak?
what else I see is a white-ish line from the right hand end of the red line is that what you are talking about? the only other line I see is one going almost straight up from around the centre of the beak |
