So I gave my 2-3 year old Horsefields Tortoise a tiny bit of Romaine Lettuce, I turned around as I was hearing hissing, choking noises. I realised that my Horsefields Tortoise (Flora) was choking. She was moving her neck in and out, her mouth was as wide as possible, and she was making these noises. I didn't know what to do, she was clearly distressed. I picked her up (mid-choking) and leaned her forward. Then I quickly ran a warm bath for her to hydrate and also help swallow the remainder of what she was choking on. She is still a bit shaken so I have her under close watch.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? What did you do?
