Lawn saturated - you are lucky. We have ponds! We have local flooding. The highways agency were here last night at gone 10pm trying to help move the water. Very impressed. All the houses around are OK though.

-6C last night and it hasn't gone over 0C all day.

A hard freeze like this will kill some slugs - look on the bright side!

We had those cold nights in the south of France over Christmas. My daughter has said they had -10 one night. So just goes to show how cold it can get in what is normally a warmer part of the world compared to us:0)

I have found loads of slug babies and eggs under pots when I am moving them. I bet slugs have survived millions of years also, certainly a whole winter under my pots !!

It is 2 degrees in the piggies pens. But they are all squeakily happy !

It suits him as he looks like he's had quite a life thus far. He's quite craggy looking on his face, bless him.

Ooh...they are so gorgeous. It's coming up a year since we lost our last one now. We miss the squeaks and sing-song voices in the garden but no room for furries anymore. Only feathered and shelled friends in the garden now. I'll show my daughter this photo of your piggies in a mo and you'll probably hear her squeals! They are soooo cute!
