If any of your tortoises have a prolapse again (it can happen) then soak in sugar or glucose water, this helps any swelling go down. It worked with mine:0)

Dito to Sandy's comment. Main thing with a prolapse is never let it dry out. The sugar helps shrink the prolapse in the hope it goes back in itself.
Hope your tort is ok. Not sure what your routine is but I would soak this tort every day for 20mins in warm water for a week or so. A prolapse is either from straining or a birth defect. Let's hope yours is not the latter. Does she have any defects on the marginal scutes around the tail area.
If it's straining it's probably either because she was trying to get back upright or dehydrated, soaking helps drastically with dehydration. Is she pooping ok.

I think your vet did right with a stitch. Good luck.
