its strange isnt it some vets insist on consultation fees each visit

others dont if it is the same continued condition

What a rip off, you shouldnt have to py for a consultation every time with the same condition but at least your cat is better

That is terrible-years ago we had a black lab and she had a bit of fur missing from her neck we took her to the vets she was given injections,we had to bathe her in a liquid, change her diet to a really expensive one.Nothing worked-hundreds of pounds later we were referred to a specialist which was £90 just for the consultation. We later found out it was a common complaint in labs and was usually treated with a bit of sunflower oil rubbed in and yes it worked!!!

oops where did i put it i was sure i put this thread in general discussion well we had another trip there today and chowda is doing well and after me kicking up a fuss about there charges they have said that i didnt have to pay today and wont have to pay when i go back in 7 days which is great but not so good that i have already paid 3 consultations for same condition. and toni the name chowda came about when we went to gran canaria and they had chowda on all there menus aka sea food soup or so i was told not that i had any being vegi and while we were there there were loads of stray black cats hanging around everywhere and not long after we came home from our hols a little black stray kitten turned up in the rain dripping wet and crying for food so then she became part of the family and got a name that reminded us of our hols and the time when we got her so she became chowda

Hope Chowda is better soon. Cant believe what your vet is charging you for a continuation of treatment.
