Cheeky monkey
This monkey decided to wee all over my car when I refused to give him a bite of my sandwich when we broke down in the monkey enclosure in Longleat.

Kids loved it, especialy the big hedge maze and the kids play area which had loads to do .The safari park was quite good but thought that for all the money it must make they could have more cattle grids to stop animals wandering into other animals enclosures instead of undefended people as our rescuing keeper informed us. I thought the pets corner was just that , a corner. It had lots of small animals, but probably packed into too small a space and you couldnt move in there for people(well it is the summer hols) and the people holding the animals for petting where paying no attention to what all the kids where doing to some of the poor animals cos they where too busy talking and my daughter had to ask about a dozen times before I finaly told her it was a bearged dragon she was stroking(she wants one) Couldnt even get on the safari boat the que was so long or any of the 3 rides but we did get on the train and could see the sealions and gorilla from there. Felt kinda sorry for the gorilla stuck on his own on his island. Hubby went to see the house and wasn't impressed. There was too much to do in one day but as we where making a detour from Devon to liverpool we didnt get our moneys worth on the saver tickets we bought (£20 per adult, £16 per child) although you can use them again to see attractions you miss (they get stamped at each entrance) but I dont think we be down that way before end of season.
Not painting a good picture am I. We did have a great day really. I think the whole break down thing put a dampner on it as we where worried about making it home, and if we got the chance to spend a couple of more relaxed days in that area we would go again and not just to get our moneys worth Rach

the trouble is, most big attractions are always so packed during the holidays, and it does always seem like you spend the whole day queuing, or looking for something without a queue!!
Still seems like you have had a busy week!! I'm sure the kids enjoyed themselves
