Default Advice needed asap

Ive just gone into the garden to find 3 mice lying in the middle of the lawn. Two are dead and one is injured I pressume caused by mine or a neighbouring cat. Havent the heart to just throw it and pressume it will prob die, but is there anything I can do for it.
It has a large cut on its nose and one of its eyes looks a bit bulging I cant find any other damage and it looks like its going into shock although its still responsive when I pick it up ie legs going ten to the dozen. Ive put it in a shoe box on some hay and cleaned its nose with salt water, the only thing at hand I'm afraid and ive put it in a quiet warm spot in the garden as I dont want it to suddenly recover and escape into the house. It has a lid in but a hole it can escape out of if it recovers.
I know it sounds daft but cant stand the thought of the poor little thing like this and would like some advice.
All this on the same day my daughter has asked for a pet mouse.

Poor little thing has died and yes I think it was shock. We having a funeral tomorow (kids !) although I think I will dig it up once the kids are in bed so that non of my dogs dig it up and eat it.
