Busy day in the garden
It's been busy here in my tortoise garden, I've finished painting both of the big boxes , edging the grass, putting down slate, just need to get some tall plants to cover up the ugly fence ( it's not mine )
Lots of eating Then sleeping

The enclosures are looking great Suze and the torts are as gorgeous as always. I bet you enjoyed a nice cup of tea sat in the sunshine watching them.

And for Jemima it's been a digging day, she's had three temps at digging a nest and given up each time, she is fussy, but that rediculous.

It all looks so neat. I do aspire to this!
I particularly love the photo where they are half in the shade and half in the sun. So cute!

omg that's what I thought Jan!! Your garden is so neat and nice Suze, its like something out of a monty D programme. Loving the photographs - they are such nice colours on their shell and I love the last but one of Tortoise sat near water dish. I actually even like ugly fence and think you should add your own little plaque to it in case it gets replaced. think secretly you will miss it !

Fence looks ideal for keeping nosey people away from tortoises. The Margies look lovely!

thank you all for your kind words. even about the ugly fence. I don't do ugly,so at some point it will have to be replaced, but for now I will buy some tall plants.
the other side of the garden is getting a face lift, the old fence is coming down this week and my neighbour is building, a nice brick wall even though its my boundary, cos he has taken it down to build an extension. so that will look lovely. and clare I do love watching monty D, and of course Nigel.

Looks lovely Size. I've been doing lots too. Brought an electric paint sprayer, reinstated an old weed bed I had forgotten about! (Behind greenhouse) planted up my big raised bed, and managed to fit some troughs along wall in between herrmann barrier & a shed + I have quite a few small troughs to attach to enclosure barriers thought I could grow trailing plants hanging down, which they can eat what they can reach. I just have to work out how to attach them!
