I am surrounded by lakes literally and the worst time is when the baby frogs and toads are leaving the pond/lake out in the back garden there are days sometimes weeks that I can't cut the grass or they end up in the grass box on my ride on and interestingly the numbers of adults has risen over the years since I have stopped mowing.
Some days there are literally hundreds of babies and it's amazing how they differ in colour. |

Gordon you are a big softy. There I was thinking you would eat them and then I find you have stopped mowing. Lucky frogs in your garden.

Nice picture Jan.
We don't have the privilege of grass snakes, wish we did. Frogs and newts, loads of newts. Good job my redfoots don't get them, they would be on the menu. Maybe they have but I've not witnessed it yet. |

Ha. Yes they do. I've never fed them or seen them eat any. But I know a guy who feeds his frogs. My missis would go nuts if I fed a frog. Not sure I'd want too anyway, too many good childhood memories collecting frogs.
Redfoots will eat just about anything, many a times they've tried to eat my cats tail whilst she sleeps in the garden. |

Frogs are just princes in disguise you know !!
Did you see intelligent animals last night....omg Redfoots are as intellectually intelligent as rats. In fact any tortoise as they did all their exercises right ... didn't order pizza yet but that is only evolution. Very interesting !!! CB

Just as well Mrs Frog isn't watching this thread on the forum or she'd be after you!
