Default humidity

hey guys, me again.... sorry to keep on, lol

this might sound like a stupid wuestion but how do you make an enclosure (indoor)more humid?

as i got a hingeback i know they like it humid, but my hydrometer is only showing at a moderate humidity, his heat lamp is on, and the temps in his cool side and his warm side are as they should be.

im just a bit confused on how to make it more humid for him

xxxx

What hygrometer are you using? The pastic cheap ones are rubbish to say the least, you need a hair one, dazza sells them in his shop, the difference in the readings is amazing.

I spray my red foots substrate every day and the tortoises themselves.

What substrate are you using for your hinge back? Do you spray/mist the enclosure?

wilkos have really nice pressure sprayers for a pound, like plant waterers, but ive always tthought mine would be ideal for redfoots, you just fill it with water, pump and then press the handle and it mists everywhere.
