Default Pulling Out Front Nail...

Our friends female Hermann pulled her front nail out this morning due to her adventurous behaviour...it bled quite a bit but now the bleeding has stopped is there anything they should put on the open wound...iodine or something else just to keep it clean until the new nail grows through...she's done it before but this bled more. Thanks x

OUCH! sounds painful.

I had a cockatiel that used to do this quite often, the vet told me to stick the birds foot in flour to stop the bleeding and just keep wound clean with salty water.

Sorry I couldn't offer much help than that

One of mine pulled a nail out once, I just kept it clean with salty water and it was fine.
